Final Destination 8-Bit

"Lovely!"

date: December 15, 2009

Definitely the same tune, and well put together.
I find it hard to rate music since if it sounds good, what can be added?

In any case, this sounded very nice indeed. I hope it gets found by a worth animator sometime, so's to make it known.

Dr. Crafty's Castle (8-bit)

"Classic indeed!"

date: December 5, 2009

Certainly had the retro feel I so love about game music. Fave'd just for the hell of it.
Good use of the NES system, composed like a professional. Kudos to you!

Operation: Evolution

"Reminds me of 'The Final Hour"... but then evolved"

date: August 27, 2009

Very charming.
I only recently realised the piece of music used in one of my animations was a portal submission... credits have been added... But then this! This does seem much further evolved than that was, to go along with the title. And this inspires to go back to those simple days... Maybe I will.

Lovely transitions, excellent variation with many instruments and various tunes, and overall a piece that's very nice to listen to. Kind of reminds me of Dream Theater too...
Some nice talent in this. Keep going!

Snazzy little tune indeed. Nice looping there, too.
You have quite some skill in many areas.

"Happy 20th Submission!"

date: August 2, 2009

This is quite a sweet tune. If this could be a NG classic that would be brilliant.
This needs marked.
Solid beat, snazzy tunes, and you can practically feel the disco seizure.
Very NG-like indeed.

Good stuff! MaikMoar(tm)

- Summer Time -

"Summer indeed!"

submission: - Summer Time -
date: March 26, 2009

Even though it's still rather cold this end of the line, I could momentarily feel the summer's sun's warmth upon me.
Well composed!
Especially the first half is real good.
The last quarter kinda loses the flair it had in the beginning a little, and it doesn't loop that very well, but it still rocks quit nicely, so it's a 4/5 and a 7/10 from me.

Keep going! Moar!

Rucklo - Drunk

"Brilliant!"

submission: Rucklo - Drunk
date: March 26, 2009

Drunk indeed.
I can very much visualise some musty bar in the morning, with early drunks and hangovers galore...
Simple, classic, slow, and catchy.
The only, and I mean the ONLY little downside is the awkward way it loops. Although everything needs an end at some point, and anyone smart enough to use a soundediting program can clip off the last parp.

Top stuff!
Keep going!

Author's Response:

aw shucks, thanks for the kind words!

now, on the looping-part, the NG-audio player is actually programmed in some way to make mp3's loop better. this is why you can hear loops cutting in different spots even. i don't know exactly how it's done, but yeah, that's how it is.
also, it's not meant to loop flawlessly, it's a song. and like you say, anyone who know how to handle the basic functions of a sound-edit program know how to cut it n make it loops better. i'd recommend converting into .wav before doing this, or simply pop me a PM and I'll provide the full .wav file instead. :)

The New Warriors

"I like the beginning a lot.."

submission: The New Warriors
date: June 25, 2008

...but near the end it gets a little same-same...
When I listen to music, visions of what I could use it for pass before my eyes...
The beginning... castles, barracks, forests, and, indeed, warriors...
Then a sneak scene... spies... secret...
bagpipes... fields... more secrets... lots of stuff.
And that goes on...

but at the end I find myself sitting there going "huh?"
Pity. I think it could be improved.
But even as it is now, it is very nice.
